Dear Editor:

I have subscribed to the Dispatch for over 20 years and I thank you for being a fair and balanced newspaper, printing letters from all sides of an issue, regardless of the impact.

Unfortunately, this is very rare in newspapers these days. Shawn Weymouth, your tantrum … I mean letter, to censor Mark Zappa because you don’t agree with him was shocking, immature, and downright scary! I’m afraid this is where our country is heading.

In my opinion, (last I checked I am still entitled to it), Mr. Zappa is “right on” in his last two letters regarding illegal immigration, and his good, common sense letters are always appreciated by my husband and I. I read letters every day that make me grit my teeth (like Shawn Weymouth’s) but I would never dream of asking that they be censored! Shawn, you made a complete fool of yourself, (my opinion).
