Hearing for teen driver continued to March
San Martin – A preliminary hearing for Anthony Scott McDowell, 18, was continued one month to Thursday, March 3 at 1:30pm in the San Martin courthouse.
McDowell, a Morgan Hill resident, is charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the death of Gilroy High School student Erin Kinkel last Aug. 1. He pleaded not guilty in December.
The case was continued because McDowell’s attorney needed more time to gather and present evidence to the District Attorney’s office, according to Deputy District Attorney Amir Alem.
