Get a GRIP

GILROY – The Gilroy Police and Fire Departments have teamed together to offer a disaster preparedness workshop, “Get a GRIP (Gilroy Residents in Preparedness).” This free workshop is designed to prepare family, neighbors and friends in the event of a catastrophic disaster, such as earthquakes, flooding and terrorism. The workshop will be held on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Center. Registration will be accepted through Wednesday, April 23. Details: 846-0372.

Crab Cioppino feed

GILROY – The Gilroy High School Athletic Association is holding its 23rd Annual Crab Cioppino Feed and Dance on Saturday, May 10 at Christopher Ranch. Dinner is served from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and dancing to Shaboom will be from 8 p.m. to midnight. Relay for life

GILROY – The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will be held from Saturday, June 21, at 10 a.m. to Sunday, June 22, at 10 a.m., at the Christmas Hill Ranch Site. This event raises money for cancer research, education, advocacy and service. Walk, run, camp out, eat, cheer, dance, make friends and have fun. Put together a team of friends, honor loved ones by purchasing a luminaria, participate in the opening ceremonies as a cancer survivor and more. Details: (800) ACS-2345.

Wine auction

MORGAN HILL – Take part in an evening of fun, food and fellowship at the Wine Auction to benefit Live Oak High School Cross Country and Track and Field Programs on Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Community Center. Show your support for the student athletes by purchasing tickets or donating auction items. The silent and live auction will feature hard to find large format bottles, fine vintages, exclusive winery tours, fine dining experiences, art, sports and other active lifestyle items.
