A memorial service celebrating the life of Dorothea Mae Atkins will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m., at the Crossroads Christian Center (formerly Assembly of God Church) on Wright Avenue in Morgan Hill. Mrs. Atkins, a longtime Morgan Hill resident, teacher, and charter member of the Full Gospel Church, died at her son’s home in Oakridge, Ore., on Sept. 15, 2002. She was 99.
