Parts of downtown sidewalks will be off-limits to pedestrians because of three nights of pressure washing beginning Sunday, according to the City of Gilroy.
Sidewalks on Monterey Road between Fourth and Eighth streets will be intermittently closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Tuesday. One side of the street will be cleaned at a time, and sidewalks will reopen once cleaning crews finish and remove barricades, according to a city press release.
Restricted parking signs will be posted today to remind residents of the upcoming closures, according to the city.
The pressure washing service is provided via a city contract with Golden Bay Construction.
Residents and business owners with questions can contact the City of Gilroy Recreation Department at 846-0460 or the Gilroy Police Department’s nonemergency line at 846-0350.
