Temperatures sunk to as low as 37 degrees at 6 a.m. this morning, and today should only have a high of 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. With mostly cloudy skies, Gilroy has a 70 percent chance of showers today, and a 30 percent chance of showers tonight as temperatures are predicted to drop to a chilling 27 degrees. Frost is expected to develop in some areas between 10 p.m. tonight and 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The remainder of the week is expected to stay chilly, with a low of 28 degrees Tuesday night and lows of 34 and 37 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday nights, respectively, according to the NWS. Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be dry, with highs of 46 and 48 degrees, respectively, but showers could return Wednesday night and continue through the weekend.
