Eliceo A. Haro died in Salinas on Dec. 8, 2004. He was 69.
Mr. Haro retired from Gilroy Foods and has been a Gilroy resident for more than 45 years.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, and he loved music and gardening, but mostly he loved designing and building, especially with wrought iron and masonry. He could build or fix just about anything around his home. He loved the outdoors and everything to do with nature.
Mr. Haro is survived by his wife, Maria M. Haro of Gilroy; children Refugio and his wife Cristina Haro, Delia and her husband Regulo Zapata, Socorro and her husband Bob Vasquez and Augie Haro; eight grandchildren; one great-grandsons; siblings, Andres Haro, Emelio Haro, Jesus Haro, Adelina Haro and Delia Haro; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Jose Haro.
Visitation will start at 1pm Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home.
A vigil will be held at 5pm, Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services begin at 8am Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at the funeral home then to St. Mary’s Church for a Funeral Mass at 8:30. Burial will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.
