The California Department of Transportation closed Ferguson Road in Gilroy on Aug. 13 and it will remain closed through early November. This continuous closure is necessary to install signals, widen shoulders and through lanes near the intersection of Highway 152 and Ferguson Road, according to a Caltrans press release.  

Construction hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the weekdays. The project is expected to be completed in early December.

Detour for northbound Ferguson Road from Highway 152: Take westbound SR-152 to northbound U.S. 101 to Leavesley Road off-ramp to Ferguson Road.  

Detour for southbound Ferguson Road to Highway 152: Take Leavesley Road to southbound U.S. 101 on-ramp to eastbound SR-152.

Detour signs and changeable message signs will be posted to assist motorists during this ramp closure. Please drive cautiously when approaching the construction area.
