Well, guess what citizens of Gilroy – you can take responsibility for the street light in front of your house. Darkness promotes the opportunity for criminal activity in your neighborhood.

If the street light is out in front of your house – take a minute to find the pole number and call 1-800-544-4876. You can call on your own. Don’t wait for someone else to do it for you, no one will.

Take responsibility for your own personal safety in your neighborhood and report when the street light is out. After I send this, I will be calling in the two lights on Princevalle near the high school and the other near Johnson Way.

If everyone took just a few minutes and some responsibility – our street lights would make this a brighter city.
