Gilroy's Gianfranco Fortino (51) celebrates Ricky Alvardo's touchdown during their game Friday against Pajaro Valley.

Gilroy High seniors Brendan Holler and Gianfranco Fortino have been invited to play in the Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star Football Game on July 17 at San Jose City College.

“They’re both extremely excited and proud to represent Gilroy,” Mustangs coach Brian Boyd said.

Holler, who plans to play baseball in college, will play wide receiver, defensive back and kick returner for the South team.

Fortino, who has committed to Gavilan College’s football program, will play center and long snapper for the South.
