Former San Juan School teacher Joseph B. Hudson has been
sentenced to 240 days at the county jail and must register as a sex
offender after accepting a plea deal in connection with charges
alleging he inappropriately touched six students, according to
court records.

Hudson, 59, accepted the agreement in April. Judge Steven Sanders at a recent sentencing ordered him to the jail time, five years of probation, 800 hours of community service, to abstain from alcohol use, and to receive counseling, according to court records. He must surrender by June 7.
He cannot have any contact with minors without adult supervision and has to stay at least 100 yards away from the victims and families.
As part of the agreement, prosecutors reduced his charges from 18 counts of child molestation to six felony counts of causing injury or health endangerment to minors.
