GILROY – FTP improved to 2-2 in Men’s Fall BB League play Friday with a 27-13 victory over Bike Center at Las Animas Park.
EJ Mendoza went 6-for-6 with a home run and six RBI for FTP. Roger Hernandez went 5-for-5 with a home run, Mike Reyes 4-for-4 with a home run for the winners. Daniel Vasquez and Jarrod Hernandez each belted four FTP hits.
Marcus Gaeta homered in a 3-for-3 showing and Andrew Bolinger provided a solo blast for the Bike Center. Brian O’Donoghue went 3-for-4 for the Bikers.
The Good Ole Boys are 1-3 in Men’s Fall E action after a 16-7 decision over Da Click Thursday.
Davis Tripathi, Gene Smith and Kris Puthoff hit consecutive homers in a Good Ole Boys third inning. Tripathi added a grand slam and a solo shot, while Don Haygood slapped a homer, triple and single for the winners. Franckie Rubio homered and Gonzalo Zamora lined three singles for Da Click.
VFW Bingo is 3-2 after a 13-1 nod over 831 Aftershock. John Castro and Steve Lemberger each mustered three VFW Bingo hits. Stephen Jeske helped Bingo with two triples. Cuco Yerena singled and scored on a Juan Caudillo double for the Aftershock marker.
The Door Expo is 4-0 atop the Co-Rec C standings after edging Blackout Window Tinting 6-4 Sunday at Las Animas.
Lilly Contreras and Arturo Martinez hit RBI-singles in the top of the seventh to snap a 4-4 tie. Jesus Begines went 3-for-3 for the Expo. Art Mancera went 3-for-3, Terry Smith doubled and singled, Jason Dowdy scored twice for Blackout.
El Fuego stopped Anritsu 9-5 behind three Chris Hatch hits and a homer and triple from Marcelino Cortez. Ray Avena doubled and singled for Anritsu.
Richard Chavez, Anthony Lucio and Eric Gonzalez hit homers as Let’s Bang outlasted the Hustlers 8-5 in Co-Rec B play. Mikey Reggiardo stroked a double and single, scoring two Hustler runs.
