Rudy Perez, from Gilroy, watches the garlic braiding Saturday as he shows off his new creation of garlic decorations.

The Gilroy Sister Cities Association has a selection of leftover flowers and herb plants that were used to decorate Garlic Festival booths. These will be on sale at “bargain” prices today until noon at LJB Farms, located at 585 Fitzgerald Ave. in San Martin, according to 2013 Festival President Dennis Harrigan.
The sale is hosted by Elaine Bonino, with proceeds going towards the Gilroy Sister Cities and the Gilroy Garlic Festival Associations.
