Gilroy – Five softball fields will be in use Saturday and Sunday as the 20th annual Garlic Festival Men’s Softball Tournament takes place in Gilroy.

The double-elimination event includes 35 teams from 11 cities. Finals in the D Division will be held today at Christmas Hill Park, with the E Division finals Sunday at Gavilan Sports Park.

Matt Coughlin went 4-for-4 with a solo home run Friday as Help U Sell Real Estate moved to 4-0 in second-half Men’s EE action with a 19-3 nod over the Long Shots.

George Landeros and Benito Landeros each added home runs to the Realtor offense. Dan Garcia went 3-for-3 for the Long Shots.

ACP also hit 4-0 with a 30-7 win over the Good Ole Boys at Christmas Hill. Byron Kallbert went 4-for-4 and scored four ACP runs. Joe Carrera went 3-for-3 and Jeremy Michaelson went 2-for-2 and scored twice for the Good Ole Boys.

Adam Whitney laced a single, double and triple to key a 5-4 Gamers In Control victory over VFW Bingo. Matt McKay singled and doubled for VFW Bingo.

Heinzen Manufacturing remained in Men’s E League title contention Thursday at Las Animas Park with a 12-9 decision over NorCal Battle Brothers.

Mark Logan cracked three hits and Spencer Straub scored three runs for 3-2 Heinzen Manufacturing. New Hope Community Church is in first place at 4-1 after a forfeit win over St. Mary Men’s Club. Jeff Wong stroked a home run, double and two singles for the Battle Brothers.

Parker Hathaway hit a lead-off home run to ignite Claddagh Brew Crew past Sign Creations 21-6. Ray Berzini and Jason Moore each went 3-for-3 for Claddagh, Fidel Espinoza 3-for-3 for Sign Creations.
