GILROY—Though the season is over, Gavilan’s success continues.
Two Rams were named to the All-Golden Coast League team Monday. Wide receiver Deniko Carter and freshman defensive back Shawn Jackson both earned the honor for Gavilan.
Carter racked up 796 yards through nine games this season and scored six touchdowns. He averaged 88.4 yards a game. Jackson had 21 tackles and an interception in his rookie season with the Rams.
Freshman quarterback Drew Fryhoff and sophomore offensive lineman Tyler Decarlo received honorable mentions on offense for Gavilan. Sophomores Dillon Babb, who plays linebacker, and Mikey Pirnik, defensive back, as well as freshman lineman Jonathan Aguilar also received honorable mentions on defense.
