Gavilan College completed a 1-1 week in women’s volleyball Friday night when it swept Contra Costa College 30-8, 30-8, 30-9.

Heather Harms had eight kills for the Rams (3-4). Barbie Csore had eight aces and four kills, Malie Ka’anapu had 21 assists and Shanna Silveira had seven digs for Gavilan, which was swept 30-17, 30-22, 30-12 Wednesday at Foothill College.

“We’re having a lot of up-and-down games,” said Rams’ coach Stephanie Pascucci. “We need to be more consistent. It’s the mental part of the game, trying to eliminate the mistakes, that we need to be better at.”

Gavilan received a boost when Pascucci was able to work Tiffany Baldwin into the rotation. Baldwin is a defensive specialist from Morgan Hill who will be a “huge asset in the back row for us,” according to Pascucci.
