The Gavilan baseball team was able to get on the board in the top of the ninth, but unfortunately it was too little, too late.
The Rams four game win streak was snapped with a 6-2 loss at City College of San Francisco Tuesday.Â
CCSF jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings and was able to score a run in both the fifth and sixth innings before Gavilan finally got on the board in the final frame.Â
A Danny Guiterrez double scored Eric Guill-Perez and Guiterrez came home on a wild pitch for the final.Â
Guiterrez was 2 for 4 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base.
Taylor Hussey was handed the loss, pitching six innings while giving up nine hits, five earned runs and a walk.Â
Gavilan will be back on the diamond at 2 p.m. Thursday at College of San Mateo.
