Monterey – Kelly Perkins had her second straight hat trick and freshman Elise Ogle also scored three goals as Gilroy beat Monterey 9-0 Friday in a Monterey Bay League matchup.
Erin Magill got the scoring started with a goal and she later added an assist for the Mustangs, who led 5-0 at halftime. Russhelle Preeshl had three assists and the Spellman sisters – Laura and Amanda – each added a goal. Laura Spellman also had two assists.
GHS (3-2-1 overall, 2-0 in league) has outscored its first two league opponents 22-0.
