Dear Editor,

As I strolled past the Gilroy High gym on my way to my car, I was once again awed by the number of parents working to create another fantastic GradNite.

Some of these parents, I have worked side by side with to raise funds at the Rod’s Trods, on band trips to Disneyland and now in a parent-teacher relationship at Gilroy High. These parents offer their time in the bookroom, library and College and Career Center. They are the same parents who are behind the scenes, consistently working the Garlic Festivals, concession stands, organizing and preparing team dinners, and many other activities to support our sports programs, choir programs, and band programs. And to top it off, I came home to a message that a cross country parent donated a shade tent to the team!

Parents, I want you to know that there teachers, coaches, and administrators at Gilroy High that admire and appreciate your efforts. THANK YOU!
