CALLER 1: I’m calling about the articles you wrote about Matt Hemeon as the quarterback at Gilroy High School. Matt Hemeon didn’t play at all last year, but it seems like you’re making a big deal about him being quarterback. You’re missing the point that Marc Vegas is starting because of how well he played, not because Hemeon got injured. You guys should check the facts before printing articles. Hemeon is not playing for the San Francisco 49ers, he’s playing for Gilroy High School. Marc Vegas is starting quarterback.
GREEN PHONE: Thanks for the call, but YOU ARE missing the point. Nowhere in any articles did we mention that Matt Hemeon was the starting quarterback for GHS, nor did the coach imply it. We wrote about an unfortunate incident about a young man who was injured who could miss significant playing time for the second straight season. We don’t mind criticism for what we write, but we would prefer that readers who respond give us their name and take the time to read what they are commenting about rather than reading into stories we write.
