One driver was airlifted to a regional hospital, and Highway 152 between Gilroy’s city limit and Frazier Lake Road closed Thursday afternoon when a big rig collided with a pick-up truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As of 4:47 p.m. all lanes were reopened, according to the CHP.

CHP Officer Jaime Rios said the driver of the pick-up, a 1999 GMC Sonoma, was airlifted, likely to San Jose Regional Medical Center, with face lacerations and other injuries.

The driver of the big rig was not injured, Rios said.

The accident occurred just east of Gilroy Foods. It was called into the CHP at 3:08 p.m.
