Family and friends are invited to attend services on Monday, June 16th, 2014, for a Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy at 10:00AM. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Gilroy. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to St. Mary School Endowment or the charity of your choice.  Frank Flautt died Thursday June 12, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. He enjoyed 70 years of life with his family.
 His generous spirit and humor, strength of character, faith in God and loving devotion to his wife and children will always be remembered.
 He was the son of the late James Frank and Mary Flautt. He was born in Hollister, CA at Hazel Hawkins Hospital but lived most of his life in Gilroy, CA. He graduated from Gilroy High School and San Jose State University.
 His career began working for Pacific Telephone Company as a lineman and foreman, then as a CPA, stockbroker at Paine Webber in San Jose, auditor for San Benito County Assessor’s office and ending his career as a Systems Analyst for Santa Clara County Tax Collector and Assessor. He served in the Army National Guard, was a member of Gilroy Elks Club, Kiwanis Club and St. Mary Parish where he also taught catechism. He served on the Civil Grand Jury, was a board member of St Mary Men’s Club and Notre Dame High School (Salinas). He loved duck hunting and being with his family and the outdoors.
 Frank is survived by Christine, his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years; daughter Julie Chamberlain of Santa Cruz, CA, son-in-law John (JC) Chamberlain, son Jim, daughter-in-law Emily of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Kendra and Rachel Bonsall of Santa Cruz, CA and William, Mitchell and Jane Flautt of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law Sharon Pappani, nieces Lucinda Pappani, Francesca Alves, Christina Pappani and nephew Bill Pappani; and two grandnephews John Alves and Zephyr Pappani. He will be missed by all of them.
