Joe is survived by his beloved wife Sarah Romeo. He was the loving father of Joseph Romeo, Barbara Sunseri and Beverley Cusimano; grandfather of Ashley Romeo, Andrew Romeo, Gary LeDeit, Lonnie Sunseri; great-grandfather of Amber LeDeit, Jenessa LeDeit and April LeDeit; brother of Jean Emfinger and family and John Romeo and family; and friend of many.
Joe was born in 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a musician by desire, a firefighter by trade and passionate about both. He retired from the Gilroy Fire Department 12 years ago as a Captain. Joe was a hero to many, loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Friends are invited to attend memorial services in his honor on Friday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill’s Funeral Home, Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose.
