Five local bowlers surpass 700 series at Gilroy Bowl.
GILROY – The league bowlers of Gilroy Bowl were slinging the ball with precision last week as four men and one woman topped the 700-barrier in a three-game series.

Leaguer Tom Alegre (767 series, 266 high) bested the men’s division, but with close challenges from Lyle Perez (733 series, 259 high), Jim Wood (704 series, 259 high), and Trevor Wallace (711 series, 246 high).

Rounding out the men’s field were: Gene Navaroli (670 series, 247 high); Phil Bautista (682, 248); Ray Bravo (693, 269); Randy Hampton (685, 290); Scott Kawano (658, 236); Jess Salazar (693, 259); Del Corral (683, 264); and Joe Rizzuto (635, 227).

Leaguer Tracy Nelson (701 series, 257 high) topped the women’s division. Rounding out the ladies field were: Julia Giminez (628 series, 223 high); Kathy Misenheimer (632, 245); Grace Kawano (590, 206); Joyce Milla (225); Dawn Griswald (580, 235); Dawn Wilson (227); and Tammy Lewis (651, 238).
