Kat Teraji’s column was a very nice tribute. I wish more people would take the time to listen to the “old” people. They have a lot to share.
When my father was in the nursing home in Morgan Hill, he shared stories with me about his childhood in Nebraska; stories about my great grandparents that I had never heard told previously.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope it opens the eyes and ears to those with elderly family members. Those sharing moments should be taped and/or written so they aren’t forever forgotten.
I moved from Gilroy in June 2002 to Gilbert, AZ. I try to read The Dispatch on the Internet.
