The deadline is fast approaching for the 2011 Business and Education Scholarship provided each year by the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce. This year, up to $3,500 in scholarships will be provided to qualified high school seniors graduating in 2011 and entering their first year of college or vocational school in the Fall of 2011.
The cost of education puts a financial strain, and thousands of dollars in scholarship dollars remain on the table because students did not apply. For just a few hours of effort, the possibility of funds to underwrite tuition, books, and other educational expenses becomes a reality.
The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Scholarship application deadline is Friday, May 13. Forms can be downloaded from www.gilroy.org, or your can pick up an application at our office located at 7471 Monterey St., or just e-mail us at ch*****@gi****.org, and we will be happy to send you an application. Or, better yet, check with your campus counselor and request an application.
