So just why aren’t local area liberals like Lisa Pampuch, Marc Perkel, et. al. jumping up and down and storming The Dispatch with opinions of disapproval for Obama’s military actions in Libya?
Had former President Bush done what Obama’s just done in Libya, the blast of disapproval, mistrust and hatred from these liberals would be so loud that it would be heard up to Morgan Hill.
They would demand that Bush be impeached, quartered, run out of town, etc. etc. But now? Nothing.
I guess that’s because Democrat politicians don’t ever make big colossal political mistakes. Obama’s performance in his televised speech to the country about his Libyan policy Monday night was in some ways reminiscent of the great movie The Wizard of Oz and Professor Marvel’s plaintive cry when his balloon accidentally rose leaving Dorothy behind: “I don’t know how it works!” Apparently Obama doesn’t either.
Only it is not a balloon’s operation, but our nation’s leadership of the world that the president doesn’t understand and can’t handle.
