Upcoming events at Gilroy Center for the Arts

The Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey St., is hosting Igancio “Nacho” Moya this month as the Spotlight Artist. His work will be on display until Oct. 29.

Moya is the owner and artist of Moya Art Gallery and Studio located downtown. 

He has dedicated his time, and shares his love for art by helping families dealing with depression and anxiety. He continuously works with college students; including Berkeley, Stanford, University of San Francisco, and California State University Monterey Bay to provide healing through art.

Moya was also recently awarded the “Poppy Jasper International Film Festival Icon” Award.

The November exhibit at the center will feature the work and memorabilia of military veterans. This exhibit will run from Nov. 3-28, with a reception on Nov. 19 from 4-7pm.

The center will also host a Holiday Boutique with hand-crafted art and crafts for sale on Nov. 26 at 11am.

St. Stephen’s holding arts and crafts event

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 651 Broadway in Gilroy, presents its Autumn Arts and Crafts Faire on Oct. 22 from 10am to 5pm.

The event features handmade arts and crafts from vendors. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

A raffle will also take place at 4pm.
