Gilroy – Louie & the Outlaws managed to trim Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 17-15 Tuesday to remain unbeaten in the second half of the Men’s DD League softball program at Las Animas Park.
Josh Gonzalez helped the 5-0 Outlaws with a three-run home run, a double and a single while scoring four runs. Isaiah Gonzalez scored three runs while blasting a triple and two singles for the winners.
Jorge Landeros and Adrian Guzman each mustered three hits for 3-2 Pacific Coast Bail Bonds. Joel Gaeta socked a two-run home run. The Bondsmen pushed across two runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning before leaving the bases loaded.
The Loco Boys remained in pennant contention at 4-1 with a 13-3 victory over the Assassins at Gavilan Sports Park.
Jimmy Castaneda belted a three-run home run and Reynaldo Lara added a two-run shot for the Loco Boys. Kurtis Salter added a double, single and sacrifice fly for the winners. George Palacios went 3-for-4 and Ivan Acevedo went 2-for-2 and scored one run for the Assassins.
New Hope Community Church exploded for a 24-4 victory over the Thousand Trails Punishers. Chris Green anchored the New Hope offensive display with a 4-for-4 effort and a sacrifice fly. Chris Soto netted four hits for the winners, while Bill Hawkins and Pete Agliotis each scored four runs for New Hope. Greg Mossberger stroked a double and single, while Pat Caudill scored two runs for the Punishers.
Deadman Inc. reached 3-2 in DD play with a 13-2 nod over the Titans.
Mark Cisneros lashed a three-run home run to key a five-run Deadman Inc. first frame. Bob Martin went 3-for-3, Keith Hirahara 3-for-4 for the winners. Johnny Ramirez lined an RBI-triple and scored on an error for the Titans.
Women’s B
Williams Dental Lab clinched the second-half Women’s B League pennant Tuesday at Las Animas by defeating Kay’s Kids 13-3.
Rose Martinez and Maureen Hughes each collected three hits as Williams Dental moved to 5-0 with one week left in the season. Stephenie Johnston went 3-for-3 and Kiely Sheppard provided two hits and scored one run for Kay’s Kids, the first-half C champion.
Stubby’s Girls dropped a forfeit loss to Don’s Vending to slip to 3-2.
The Bullies moved to 2-3 in the Co-Rec D League Sunday at Las Animas by defeating the Big Kahunas 21-5.
Matias Franco hit two home runs as the Bullies shook off a 1-0 deficit fashioned by a lead-off Jess Alonzo home run. John Carrera homered and Eddie Flores drilled three hits for the Bullies. Rudi Groppe homered and Mark Logan lashed two doubles for the Big Kahunas.
