Marie passed away at her home Sunday morning April 6th at the age of 87 years. Marie was born in Passaic, New Jersey and has been a resident of San Benito County for the last 48 years forging strong bonds and making many great friendships. She was predeceased by her parents Alice and William Christopherson; her brother Billy Christopherson; her sisters Ruth Hartnoll and Jean Olsen; her first husband Harry Meiggs and son Keith Meiggs; her second husband Fred Rohnert and son Frederick Rohnert. She is survived by her sister Elin Tredway; sons Chris Jancik (spouse Diana) and Mark Meiggs (spouse Cindy); her daughter-in-law Allison Rohnert; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes private interment was held at the Rohnert Family Plot at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A memorial Celebration of Marie’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Nan Pipestem Wildlife Rehabilitation Center or the Monterey Bay Aquarium c/o Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St., Hollister.
