night, fleeing with $223 in cash.
Gilroy – A masked man robbed a Gilroy restaurant at gunpoint Thursday night, fleeing with $223 in cash.

The male suspect entered Tasso’s Old House restaurant at 383 First St. just after 9:30pm, wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun. The robber then ordered the employees and customers inside to get on the ground.

The robber demanded that the restaurant’s bartender give him money from the cash register.

After getting the $223 that was in the cash register, the suspect fled the restaurant, and was last seen running north on Hanna Street.

Gilroy police do not have a description of the suspect.
