Lori Mathison and Doug McGhee were married Oct. 5 at Peavy
Arboretum in Covallis, Ore. before taking off to Cancun, Mexico,
for their honeymoon.
Lori Mathison and Doug McGhee were married Oct. 5 at Peavy Arboretum in Covallis, Ore. before taking off to Cancun, Mexico, for their honeymoon.
Lori is the daughter of Walter and Laverne Mathison of Gilroy, and Doug is the son of Richard and Marion McGhee of Sun City West, Ariz.
Lori’s matron of honor was sister Sharon Larivee. Doug chose Derek Skaggs as his best man.
Lori is self-employed. She received a degree in physical education from Cal-Poly in 1991. Doug works for Hewlett-Packard. He earned a degree in electrical engineering from CSU-Sacramento in 1989.
Doug and Lori met when attending junior high school together, where they became good friends. They went to different high schools and colleges and lost touch with one another in the process.
After several years, they became reacquainted and realized they still had a lot in common. Twenty-four years after they met, they are now married and living in Albany, Ore., and are quite happy to have discovered love together.
