Grab the kids and get to the Disney on Ice presentation of “Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Journey”. It is delightful, educational and full of clever choreography, glorious costumes, exhilarating music and special effects, and all the favorite Disney characters you can bundle into one evening without going into overdrive before the conclusion of the first act.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse host the event, taking the kids on an action-packed tour of the imagination with vignettes from favorite Disney classics. The audiences traverse the globe joining Lilo and Stitch as they embrace “ohana, the family spirit of Hawaii.” Then fly away to Never Land with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell; go under the sea with Ariel and Sebastian in the saga of the Little Mermaid. Make tracks to London with 101 Dalmatians and Cruella De Vil. All is faithfully recreated with all the characters that our kids have come to know so well.

Cindy Stuart, a choreographer who has worked with Olympic silver medalist Rosalyn Sumners, Nancy Kerrigan, Katarina Witt, two time National Pairs Champions Jenni Meno and Todd Sand, and World Champion Chen Lu and is a true artist that paints smooth beautiful routines that are more than the usual ice show shtick. Her imaginative presentations keep the attention of three-year-olds as well as the adults that come to enjoy a unique evening with their children.

The costumes by Arthur Bocca sport everything from nightgowns to grass skirts to fur coats. Dozens and dozens of black-and-white spotted Dalmatians give way to Triton’s fin-clad daughters. More than 150 costumes appear in the extravaganza, and each is true to the character in the design and detail.

Aided by a talented cast of excellent skaters, stunning lighting and music, the whole production does exactly what its suppose to do – it gives off a glow of happiness and well being.
