Gilroy – William Shaw struck for 21 points Tuesday as the Money Makers opened the second half of the Men’s D League adult basketball program with a 67-64 squeaker over Pizza N’ Stuff at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Jose Bueno came off the bench to post 14 second-half points as the Money Makers improved to 7-0 for the Gilroy Community Services Department program. Michael Moisa notched 12 Maker markers.

Neil Garrett provided 33 points for Pizza N’ Stuff, the defending league champion. Mark Cisneros followed with 16 points.

Gil Barry popped in 12 points and Vince Mitre added 10 as Anritsu powered past Morgan Hill Garage Door 57-36.

Anritsu built a 35-5 lead by halftime. Josh Torres and Rick Hattaway each accounted for six Morgan Hill Gartage Doors points.

Brandon Greene ignited the George Chiala Farms offense with 17 points in the second half as the Farmers upended Headstart Nursery 52-48.

Greene nabbed game scoring honors with 20 points. Cliff Donnett worked inside for 12 Chiala Farms points.

Bob Lemmon threaded four three-point field goals in the second half and finished with 19 points for Headstart. A. J. Matthews managed 13 points for the losers.

The Tri-City Warriors edged past the Titans 55-53 in the Men’s DD League second-half opener Wednesday at Solorsano Gym.

Jerrell Morales paced the Warriors with 15 points. Gilbert Ermitano came up with 11 points for the winners. The Warriors held a 35-23 lead at halftime. Vance Lee hit three 3-pointers while leading the Titans with 17 points. Michael Vannin produced 15 points, Anthony Bravo 12 for the Titans.

Valerie Smith Intero defeated Handmade Healthcare 62-44 behind 19 points from Jesus Perez. Kevin Steele turned three 3-pointers into 15 points for Intero. Israel Gonzalez and Brit Bigelow each struck for 13 points for Handmade.
