A 20-year-old Morgan Hill woman has been charged in connection with a double homicide in Mountain View, police said.
Victoria Frances Thompson is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder stemming from the June 28 murder of Omar Aquino, 24, and his 27-year-old sister Maria Sanchez-Aquino in their home on the 1900 block of Pylmouth Street, Mountain View police spokesperson Liz Wylie said. Police believe the siblings were gunned down just before 5 a.m.
Due to the ongoing investigation, Wylie said she couldn’t go into Thompson’s role in the murders.
“The only thing we know for sure is that robbery is a motive,” Wylie said. However, because of the number of suspects, she said there may be multiple motives.
Thompson is currently being held without bail at the Elmwood Correctional Complex in Milpitas, Wylie said. She is scheduled to be back in court Sept. 29.
Four other suspects – Michael David Adams, 20, of San Jose; Nicory Marquis Spann, 18, of San Jose; Kim Thien Pham, 19, of Morgan Hill or San Jose; and a 15-year-old female juvenile – have all been charged with two counts of murder and a single count of conspiracy to commit murder.
Police are still searching for Kenneth Ivory Thomas, 20, of Campbell and a 17-year-old female juvenile for their roles in the murders.
All of the suspects were acquaintances of the victims, Wylie said.
