A Morgan Hill woman driving her boss’ 2000 Ferrari sports car flipped the vehicle on Bear Creek Road near Boulder Creek Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The car was not totaled, but the driver caused more than $100,000 in damages, Sgt. Ken Wallace of the CHP said. “All the fiberglass material (in the car’s body) will probably have to be replaced,” he said.

Neither the 23-year-old driver nor her passenger were injured and no other vehicles were involved in the accident, which occurred about 3:15 p.m.

Wallace said Bear Creek Road is a “curvy mountain roadway” in Santa Cruz County that is popular with motorcycle riders. While an investigation into the accident is still underway, Wallace said it is likely that speed was a factor in the cause of the crash.

The driver was borrowing the Ferrari with her boss’ permission.

Wallace said alcohol was not a factor in the accident. He declined to release the driver’s name.
