A Pacific Gas and Electric project has left nearly 400 homes out of power in the northwest area of Gilroy near Santa Teresa Boulevard and Mantelli Drive Thursday.

PG&E spokeswoman Monica Tell said that the project, which was planned, is to put overhead power lines underground. Tell said that all power should be restored early Thursday afternoon.

A letter was written March 23 to notify residents of the outage, Tell said. If any residents believe they did not receive a letter, she said to call 800-743-5000.
