UPDATE: Abducted baby girl found safe

Gabriela Quintero, the missing 1-year-old girl who was abducted at 6:43 a.m. today from outside her residence in San Jose, was found safe a little less than five hours after an Amber Alert was issued for her, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Four sex offenders found out of compliance with registration laws

Four sex offenders in Gilroy and unincorporated areas in Santa Clara County were found in noncompliance with their registration requirements last week.

Day care teacher charged with dosing children’s sippy cups

A South County pre-school teacher was charged today with 10 misdemeanors after a fellow teacher discovered that she had dosed toddlers’ sippy cups with sleeping pills, according to authorities.
