60 days for mom who abandoned daughter at Safeway
The Morgan Hill woman who allegedly used her 10-year-old daughter to steal groceries from a local Safeway store in September pleaded no contest to second degree burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor Tuesday.
Two arrested after police swarm home
Officers from the Gilroy Police Department's Anti-Crime Team – along with police canines and an armored vehicle – arrested Julian Porcino, 21, for possession of methamphetamine, and Ruby Reyes, 39, for an outstanding felony warrant, at 2 p.m. Jan. 16 at a house on the 100 block of Sixth Street, according to GPD.
