City selects interim fire chief
A 22-year firefighter veteran from Palo Alto fire has been hired by the City of Gilroy as its interim fire chief, replacing Chief Dale Foster.

Bob was born in Elmore Ohio. He completed Flight training in Pensacola Florida and served for 8 years as a pilot in the US. Coast Guard. He was stationed in the U.S. and Italy. In 1967 he joined Pan American World Airways. In retirement he enjoyed time with his friends and family. He stayed busy playing golf, traveling and building radio controlled airplanes.
GPD ends investigation into shooting death of 3-year-old
After concluding their investigation into the July 5 fatal shooting of a 3-year-old boy on Kentwood Court, the Gilroy Police Department sent their findings to the family violence unit of the District Attorney’s Office Wednesday morning.Â
