Margaret Julia Radtke
Margaret Julia Radtke, 87 of Arroyo Grande, formerly of Gilroy passed away peacefully Dec. 9, 2009 with family by her side. Margaret was born in Crockett, CA. on August 21, 1922, to Ralph and Dometilla Pedrotti. She attended John Sweat High School in Crockett and was accepted to University of California Berkeley. Margaret pursued a degree in nursing and graduated in the class of "1944". She entered the army as a lieutenant and worked at Ft. Lewis, WA during the war. In 1952 she married Thomas Radtke of Gilroy, CA, her husband and best friend. Margaret worked at Wheeler Hospital, Wheeler convalescent Hospital and later went back to school at San Jose State University to get her masters and public health credential. She then worked for the Morgan Hill School District as a school nurse until her retirement. Margaret is survived by her brother Ben Pedrotti of Santa Rosa, her 3 sons, William Thomas, of Gilroy, Robert Madsen of Arroyo Grande, and Curtis Daniel of Tucson, AZ and her 4 grandchildren, Julia and Daniel Radtke of Kennendale, TX and Caitlin and Marcela Radtke of Arroyo Grande. Services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 12 Noon at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th St., Gilroy, CA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Alzheimer's Research.
Eugene Marcel Pourroy
Gene went home to be with his LORD at the age of 75. His active life was cut short by cancer. He was born and lived his life in Morgan Hill, CA. Gene is the loving father to Eugene M. Pourroy Jr., Debra Ann Isenberg, and Cyndy K. Pourroy. He will also be missed by his sister, two brothers, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. After 27 years of service, Gene retired in 1987 as a Lieutenant from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department. He spent his retirement years fishing, camping and enjoying life with family and friends.
