Emilia Medrano passed away at the age of 88 in San Leandro, Ca. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Medrano. Loving mother of Oscar Medrano, Nellie Arzola and Carmen Medrano. Dear mother-in-law of Alfredo Arzola and Irene Medrano. Devoted grandmother of Oscar Medrano, Jr., Tommy Medrano, Maria Toscano, Alfredo Arzola, Jr., Erica Delgado, Melissa Cookson, Michael Horta and Emilia Horta. Dearest great-grandmother of 16. Dear sister of Frances Madonna. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Orlaine Tavares Franklin

Orlaine Tavares Franklin passed away in Hollister at the age of 88. She was born in Porterville, CA and came to Hollister in 1927. She was the daughter of James and Doris (Duncan) McDonald. She married her husband, Vaughn Franklin, in Hollister in 1996 and was predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Tavares. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her many friends. She worked for San Benito County for many years and retired in 1983 after two terms as San Benito County Treasurer/Tax Collector and was named San Benito County Woman of the Year. After retirement she devoted her time to volunteering for the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary Thriftshop contributing over 25,000 volunteer hours.
