George M. Lawton Jr., loved dearly by his family, passed away March 4th in Gilroy at the age of 87. He was preceded by the loss of his beloved wife, Ethel, in Oct., 2008 after sharing their lives together for 65 years.

Native and lifelong Hollister resident, Ines A. Lemos passed away at her home last Friday at the age of 96 years. As a young girl, Ines received her education at the Pacheco School in north San Benito County. Ines was a Sacred Heart Church parishioner, a member of the Pacheco Hall Association and a devoted family member who loved cooking for family gatherings, working in her garden, and spending time in the out of doors. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph "Joe" E. Lemos who passed away March 11, 2002.
