I think somebody needs to take a look at the way Charter is handling the TV coverage for Village Green nursing home off Santa Teresa. There are residents there who live primarily for TV and have a visitor once in a while, and Charter cut off their service for three weeks because they cut the TV off before they were ready to install the new system.

One year ago, 25 members of the General Plan Advisory Committee first gathered for to help revamp the blueprint for Gilroy's future when it comes to development, housing, jobs, transportation and growth in general. The group, known as GPAC, is tasked with revising the city's guiding principles and vision through the creation of a new 20-year General Plan.

The Gilroy Police Department recently made arrests for a variety of crimes, including participation in an illegal street gang, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a controlled substance for sale, robbery, driving under the influence and battery on a police officer. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Oct. 2 and 9. All suspects remain innocent until proven guilty.
