Christmas Day homicide suspect charged with murder
A 21-year-old man was formally charged with murder in the Christmas Day killing of a woman who had a restraining order against him - marking the Garlic Capital's third murder this year, according to the Gilroy Police Department.
Station 55 celebrates new owners

YMCA senior nutrition programs receive $10,000 grant
Senior nutrition programs at the Gilroy Senior Center (7371 Hanna St.) and the Centennial Senior Center in Morgan Hill (171 W. Edmundson Ave.) got a collective $10,000 boost as the YMCA of Silicon Valley was awarded extra funds through the CareMore Foundation’s Senior Hunger Grant Program.
