Richard Thomas Hill passed on March 18, 2010 after a short battle with lung cancer. Richard was born on April 13, 1934, to Crawford C. and Elizabeth C. Hill in Portland, Oregon. He moved to Redwood City as a young man and graduated from Sequoia High School in 1952. He married Joan M. Hill on January 20, 1955 and after serving in the army, graduated from San Jose State College in 1964.

Dick Vieira and Carmen Galdos were married May 7, 1950. They dated for three years before getting married, meeting at a dance in San Juan Bautista. Mom said he was the only boy with a car - "He was high-tone." Dad was smitten from the beginning and said he chased "her until she caught him." I don't know who chased who. It depends on who tells the story.

Rig crashes, spills gas and causes US 101 southbound to close for more than six hours
