Robert Norman Goodrich September 5, 1940 – December 6, 2012
Robert Norman Goodrich passed away peacefully on December 6, 2012 at the age of 72. He was born and raised in Gilroy, attended Gilroy schools, and graduated from Gilroy High School in 1958. He worked at his family’s business, the old Sparkle Market on First Street, and served four years in the US Navy. He spent his career years in the magazine/paperback distribution industry, real estate, and residential painting. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman B. Goodrich, former Mayor of Gilroy, and his brother, Neil Goodrich. He is survived by his wife, Joan Goodrich; his children, Lori (Larry) Kent, Mark (Maria) Goodrich; grandchildren Sam and Max Kent, and Zachary, Makayla and Grant Goodrich; his mother, Marian Goodrich; his sister, Gail Carr, step-children Regina Colletto and her children Joe and Katie, and Chet (Denise) Colletto and their children Emily and Jacob. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Donations to the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, or a favorite personal charity would be greatly appreciated by the family.

An 80-year-old Los Banos woman died in a solo-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Highway 25.
Mary Jane Allemand April 3rd, 1927 – December 7th, 2012.
Mary was born in Denison, Iowa and moved to Gilroy with her parents, Mary and Edmund Howorth when she was eight. She attended St. Mary School and then Gilroy High. In 1973 she moved to the Denver, Colorado area.
