A semi-truck and car were involved in an accident Friday at Highway 156 and Fairveiw Road, while there were no reported injuries.
The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. at the intersection and led to delays at a busy time during Friday commuter traffic.
Afterward, the truck rested off the road on the west side of the highway, with the car off the east side of the road. The truck sustained damage to the front-right portion of the cab. The car’s damage was to the driver’s side in the front.
While there were no reported injuries, the female driver of the car was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons because the airbag deployed during the wreck, said Luis Alvarez, a California Highway Patrol office at the scene.
