Nellie Hart passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She was 87 years old. The full obituary will appear in a later edition of this publication. Elizabeth Morgan (Barber) Martin of Carmel, CA passed away in her home, surrounded by family, April 3, 2010. Liz was born December 27, 1929 in Winnetka, Ill to John Edward Barber and Grayson Carter (Beach) Barber. Liz was the youngest of three children.
James Gordon Fellows walked with his faithful Lord Jesus into Heaven on Monday, March 15, 2010. At his side were his two daughters and sons-in-law. He was 85. Jim was born in northern Idaho, raised in eastern Washington, and lived in Gilroy and Santa Cruz. His wife of 56 years, Viola, preceded him in death in 2008. He was employed for 37 years with Coast Counties Gas and Electric and PG&E. Jim leaves behind two daughters, Debbie and Dawn; three grandchildren: Kierstyn and Colton Voyles, and Kirk Gandolfi Jr.; a brother, Dale, and a sister, June Dumbeck, both of Pomeroy, WA; and many other beloved family members and friends. Thomas Alan Angell passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 5 on April 5, 2010, in Santa Clara, CA. He was the beloved son of Andrew and Heather Angell; loving twin brother of Marcus Angell; cherished grandson of Bonnie and Fred Angell and Frank and Noemi Hinchberger.
Born to John and Augusta Justino in San Leandro, CA, he grew up with two sisters and one brother. His father was from Madera, Portugal and his mother from Maui, Hawaii. After graduating from San Leandro High School, he joined the Navy to serve in the Pacific during WW II. He returned to marry the love of his life, Helen Mendonca.
Hollister resident John Fortino passed away Monday, April 5th, 2010, at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center in Hollister at the age of 93 years. John was a native of Capaldo, KS. After serving with the U.S. Air force, John moved from Kansas to Hollister in 1951 where he established himself as a self employed painting contractor in addition to being an original owner from 1968 until 1977 of the Villa Pace Restaurant with his late brothers Eugene and Chester Fortino. John was a member of the Hollister Lodge No. 1436, B.P.O.E.; the S.I.R.S.; Bolado Park Golf Men's Club; the I.C.F.; Golden Years Travel Club, and the Bay Area Painters and Tapers Union District Council No. 16 of San Jose. John enjoyed golfing, card playing especially Pedro and Poker, dancing, cooking, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. John was the spouse of the late Marie Fortino who passed away on December 22, 2001.
Born in San Jose, CA, June 19, 1939, to parents Angelo and Vita Rapazzini. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Zondra, who had befriended Jon for 12 years prior to their marriage; his brother Victor Rapazzini and wife Cynthia; sister Selma Rapazzini Weisenbeck and her husband, David; two sons, Mark Rapazzini, and his wife Kris and their children Adrian and Melina, and Todd Rapazzini, and his children, Alexandra and Joseph, and his fiance Christina and her daughter Jenna; and god-children Gabriel Somerville, Benjamin Somerville, Joseph Hanna, Matthew and Maximus Clausing, Brannock Valory, Josiah Michael Steiger, Zenovia Flippen, Katrina Trigg, and Xenia Yohannen; and adopted Italian daughter, Stacey Valory.
