Celebrating the life lived of Sandra Nell Shockley. On June 16, 2008, Sandra peacefully passed on to join her beloved sisters and brother. She is loved and survived by her son and his wife Randy & Tammy Beltran, her daughter Lisa Betz, 9 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. She was an amazing woman. Norman Wayne Pershing, of Gilroy, passed away June 11, 2008 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife Anna Mae of 57 years; children Teri and her husband Dave Brooks of Morgan Hill, Shawn and his wife Sheila Pershing of Gilroy, and Vicki Pershing and her husband Steve Stroud of Sacramento; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
"Mando" passed away at his home in Gilroy June 11, 2008. Son of Alma Claudina Sanchez of Mexicali. Father of Armando Jr. Niebla of Fresno, J.R. Martinez, Mando Gonzalez and Victor Niebla all of Texas. Brother of Alberto Niebla of Morgan Hill, Alma Lillan, Rosalinda, Francisco, Fernando, Maricela, Alva, Blanca & Adan Niebla all from Mexicali. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a native of Mexicali.
Joyce Terry Scales Orr, 67, of Hollister died at the William and Inez Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility from complications of SCA. Joyce was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Dr. and Mrs. James Webb Scales. She grew up in Starkville, MS, where she earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Mississippi State University. She lived most of her adult life in Pensacola, Florida, where she taught various grades and subjects from K-6. She resided in Hollister for the past seven years. Joyce is survived by her three children (and spouses); daughter Terry Eymann (Dale) of Hollister, CA, son James Orr (Natassia) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and daughter Kristen Orr of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren, Natalie, Bennett, Cassie, Jack, Andrew and Alexander; as well as her three brothers, James Scales (Lala) of Macon, GA, Paul Scales (Audrey) of Starkville, MS, and Robert David Scales (Beverly) of Meridian, MS. A memorial service was held at 2:00 P.M. on June 18th at First Presbyterian Church of Hollister, with Interment to follow late June in Pensacola, FL.
Margarita Yanez Segura was born on May 27, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. She was a life long ressident of Morgan Hill. She valued and cherished every moment with her children, family, and friends. Deeply moved to leave a personal legacy of love and devotion; she committed herself to providing the best possible life for her children and loved ones; forever treasuring the people in her life. With the legacy she created, she will always remain in our hearts.
Saturnino "Sat" Quinones Tambo, a longtime resident of Hollister, died of cancer on April 10 at Bethel Baptist Hospital in Malaybalay, Philippines. He was 67.
Friends can pay their respects on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Prayer services will be at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Services: Thurs at 10:00 A.M. at The 7th Day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery.
Erik was 28 years old. He was born in Santa Clara, California. He lived in Morgan Hill through his early childhood years and later moved to Hollister, where he lived out the rest of his life. Erik attended Fremont and Chandler Trip Preschools, grade school at P.A. Walsh Elementary in Morgan Hill and R.O. Hardin Elementary in Hollister. He also attended Rancho San Justo Middle School and graduated in 1998 from San Benito High School. Erik loved camping, river rafting, traveling and video games. In his short life he had been to Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean, Virgin Islands and beyond. He loved to go to Disneyland and hang out with his older brother Craig and David. Erik truly enjoyed his weekend trips to Corralitos and Gizdich for lunch and dessert with mom, dad and whomever was going that way. He is survived by his mom, Rosemary Torres (spouse:Bob See), dad, Alexander L. Torres (spouse: Maria L. Torres), older siblings, Craig Torres (partner: David), Sara Cutrignelli (spouse: Maurizio Cutrignelli), Tara Torres (spouse: Ceasar Lopez), nephew, Michele Cutrignelli, and nieces, Floriana and Adri Cutrignelli. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday June 18 at 5:00 P.M., followed by a Vigil at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Catherine Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday June 19, 2008.

Charles E. Daly, age 77, with his wife of 37 years at his side, lost his battle to a long-term illness on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 7:00 A.M. Charles was most recently a resident of Holly Lake Ranch in Texas. Prior to that, he lived in Tacoma, WA for twenty years.
